Our History…
In 1982, Rick Kuhlman saw the need for a quality cleaning service in his home community, Watertown, WI. Rick started the company out of his garage along with his wife, Terri. They were the first two cleaners and only employees of KCS for the first two years. After those first couple years, they began to expand their services into the surrounding communities of Oconomowoc and Waterloo. By the end of the 80’s, KCS had a reputation for quality and service. This led to continued growth of the KCS workforce and expansion of services into more small communities surrounding Watertown.
KCS has continued to grow and expand its services over the years. We now have a team of over 60 cleaners and partner with clients in many communities in Southeast WI, including Watertown, Oconomowoc, Waterloo, Hustisford, Ixonia, Brookfield, Waukesha, Pewaukee, Johnson Creek, Jefferson, Fort Atkinson, Lake Mills, Cambridge, Juneau, Beaver Dam, Madison, Sun Prairie, and Milton.
In 2015, KCS was experiencing enough rapid growth that Rick saw the need to bring on additional help to manage the company. This led to Rick calling former employee and close friend, Chris Wredberg. Chris, who originally started working at KCS as a teenager, moved back to join the KCS team in 2016 as Operations Manager. In 2019, Chris became the owner and president upon Rick’s retirement.
Since 2019 Chris has been the Owner of KCS. Chris started working for KCS at 16 years old and worked throughout his high school and college years. After college he moved south, eventually settling in Fuquay Varina, NC while attending graduate school at NC State. In 2016 Chris moved back to Watertown as the Operations Manager until Rick Kuhlman’s retirement in 2019.
